2007 – present / 2003 – 2006 (Associate Head Coach). Also currently working at MCC as the Coordinator of Registration Highlights:
-Helped MCC earn #3 Team Batting Ave (.378) in NCCA DII 2010
-Finished with a national rank of #18 in 2005.
-Helped place 24 players into four year programs during my time there. 17 of which were on scholarship
2004-2006 seasons saw a decrease in team ERA each season.

Took a team that won 7 games the previous year and won 20 games including the school’s first regional tournament win in 7 years. Included an extra inning victory over the #1 team in the country Joliet Junior College. Left to return to McHenry County College in a full time capacity

Competed in the Junior Olympics in 2006: Had a team ERA of 3.06 in the tournament against the best 16u teams in the country.

The Hurricanes are proud to announce the addition of Juan Acevedo to our Organization.
Juan is a former Major League Baseball pitcher with eight (8) full seasons of experience. As a semi-retired player, Juan will provide top-notch pitching instruction.
As a former local product out of
Pitching instruction is top-quality in the area. Moreover, unlike other local area pitching instructors, Juan knows what it takes to advance to the next level and pitch in the Major Leagues. His instruction and lessons are based on itching experiences and knowledge gained from discussions with other Major League pitchers and pitching coaches.
Tug played three years at Purdue University (2000-2003), where he earned Academic All-Big 10 honors, and played two years at Northern Illinois University. Tug served as the assistant coach at Triton Junior College for two years and coached one year at Walther Lutheran High School, his alma mater where he was a three-year all-conference catcher. Tug also played three years of professional independent baseball with the Windy City Thunderbolts, South Georgia Peanuts and the Sioux City Explorers. Tug has been instrtucting catchers and hitters for the last five years with the Hurricane Organization.
Mike has coached baseball for the last seven years at the high school level with stops at Jacobs, Belvedere and Johnsburg High Schools, and additionally has coached high school football for five years, all in the Fox Valley conference. Mike, currently teaches history and is the Sophomore baseball coach at Johnsburg High School. He has worked, organized and attended several local high school tournaments and showcases, including the Pitch & Hit Top 50 showcase and the Schaumburg Flyers High School baseball classic.
Mike is in his 21st season coaching baseball. He has coached teams from U9 up to U18. He has coached in various World Series and Invitational Tournaments in Texas, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin and Illinois. He has guided teams to CABA, USSSA, and AABC State and Regional Championships.
Tom Kasper is in his 12th season coaching youth baseball and his 4th season with the Hurricanes. Last season Tom’s 13U Hurricanes won two USSSA tournament championships. Tom’s 14U team hopes to bring home some more hardware in 2012. His teams have competed in major tournaments in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, Kansas and Cooperstown, New York.
Tom played catcher in high school, college and adult league play. He has coached other youth sports including football, girls softball, karate and kickboxing. Tom is black belt in karate and incorporates martial arts in his teams off season training and conditioning program.
Baseball players today must be all around athletes just like in other sports such as football or basketball. Tom emphasizes speed, strength and athletic training for his team including speed camps and conditioning.
Keith in his 17th season coaching baseball. He has coached teams ranging from five year old upstarts and 9U through 17U travel baseball. He has coached in various World Series and Invitational Tournaments in Illinois, Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Indiana, Ohio and New York. He has guided teams to CABA, USSSA, Triple Crown and other national organization’s State and Regional Championships.
Keith was born and raised in suburban Los Angeles and is a life-long fan of the game. He was a starting outfielder for the 1981 California high school state champs – John F. Kennedy, Granada Hills, CA. Upon relocating to the area in 2001, Keith and his older son joined with the Hurricanes where he managed and coached teams through 2007. Keith returned to the organization in 2009 with his younger son to form the Hurricanes 9U travel team. Last year the 9U Canes brought home five 1st place tournament championships and this year’s 10U Canes have already taken their first two tournaments.
Keith has attended numerous ABCA Conventions and takes advantage of local coaching resources as often as possible. Keith is in his 12th season with the McHenry County Hurricanes and has also served as its Assistant to the President (2002-2004).
Tony Dello, former minor league hitting instructor with the Arizona Diamondbacks, completed his 8th season with the Diamondbacks organization in 2006 as the Hitting Coach for the Tennessee Smokies, Double A affiliate. He has conducted camps and clinics throughout the United States including as far as Alaska. He has also served as a writer for Collegiate Baseball and Baseball Parent Magazines. Tony served as Director of Youth Instruction for Arizona State University under head coach Pat Murphy.
Before beginning his professional coaching career, Tony completed 8 successful years at the collegiate level leading the league in hitting at Northern Illinois University (IL) and James Madison University (VA). Tony is highly regarded as one of the premier hitting coaches in the game.
Tony began the 2007 baseball season with the Chicago Cubs major league team as an assistant in Spring Training.
During the 2006 season, the Tennessee Smokies of the southern league finished second in hitting and first in homeruns with Tony as their hitting coach.
