12U Canes Finish Strong at Cooperstown

Thanks to all for a fantastic week at Cooperstown and a great finish to our season. Unbelievable fan support, lasting memories and great baseball. Following are some of the highlights from last week: * Placed 12th out of 104 teams in the Around the Horn skills competition * Placed one player in the finals of the Home Run Derby * We were shutout only once all season long…..by the Cooperstown champions (West Pines Cobras) * For the tournament, we ended with a team batting average of .330, strike out percentage of .175, and slugging percentage of .562. Given the competition, these stats are excellent. * 13 home runs across 5 players, including 2 in one inning by the same player. Way to go Canes!!!
